Kratom Anonymous Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Policy

Kratom Anonymous holds no opinion on medication-assisted treatment, such as buprenorphine (Suboxone) or methadone. Whether to use these medications is a personal medical decision, and it belongs with you and your prescriber. We neither endorse it nor oppose it.

Everyone with a desire to stop using kratom is welcome here. If you are on MAT, you are welcome in our rooms. You can attend, you can listen, you can share, you can connect, and you belong the same as anyone else.

To protect every member, we keep discussion of MAT out of our meetings and out of the conversations before and after them. This includes advocating for it, opposing it, or sharing personal experience with it. This is not a judgment of anyone or their choices. It is a safeguard. One person's experience with a prescribed medication is not medical advice, and what worked for them could be ineffective, or dangerous, for someone whose history and circumstances are different. Questions about MAT belong with a qualified medical professional who knows your full history, not with another member.
